What TrickyBird is
If you have hit a block on a school or work network, or on a device where you cannot install anything, this is built for that moment. TrickyBird is a web proxy that runs in the browser you already have. You paste an address, and it opens that single site in the same tab. There is no app, no extension, and no sign-up.
Under the hood, TrickyBird connects to the site on your behalf and serves it back through its own address. It rewrites the page as it passes through, so links, images, and video keep working the way they normally would. You browse the site as usual, and it stays between you and the page.
What it is for
TrickyBird does 3 plain things. It reaches public sites that are blocked on your network or in your region. It hides your IP address from the sites you open. And it keeps the sites you open out of view of the network you are on.
The address of the site you open never appears in your URL bar or on the page you see.
What TrickyBird is not
It is not a tool for piracy, and it is not for getting around paywalls, logins, or DRM-protected video. Its job is reaching public sites that are blocked on your network or in your region.
What TrickyBird keeps
TrickyBird has no accounts and no sign-up, so there is no profile for a log to attach to. To run the service and defend it from abuse, our edge servers keep a short access log of each connection.
That log records a shortened form of your IP address, not the full one, and the time. It also records the hostname of each site or service a page loads from, not only the address you typed. It does not record the specific pages or searches you open, the content you load, your full IP, or any cookie or session token. These logs auto-delete within 48 hours, and we never sell them or share them with advertisers.
Your session and the cookies from the sites you open are short-lived too, and the security and logging page says how long each one lasts.
A checkable 48 hours is worth more than a hollow promise of nothing at all.
