Unblock Imgur and get the pictures loading again
An Imgur link that will not open is usually the network’s doing: image hosts get filtered as a category, and Imgur is the biggest name in it. TrickyBird opens the link anyway. Paste it into the launch box, press Launch, and the page loads in the same browser tab through TrickyBird’s own address, pictures included.
There is nothing to install first and no account to create, which is the practical difference from the usual advice. A VPN wants an installer and the rights to run it; the device in front of you, often a work machine or a phone on guest Wi-Fi, grants neither. TrickyBird is a website, so opening it is the same action as opening any other page.
Imgur ran through TrickyBird out of the box, with no Imgur-specific handling on our side. The images served from i.imgur.com arrive as their own image source, and gifv clips, the short looping mp4s Imgur uses in place of heavy gif files, play right in the page. Your IP stays hidden from Imgur the whole time.
Imgur in our own tests
Imgur runs through TrickyBird out of the box: the front page and tag pages load, images from i.imgur.com render, and gifv clips play in place, confirmed by live tests on desktop. Your IP stays hidden from Imgur while you browse.

The address here is TrickyBird’s own, never the address of the site you opened
How does TrickyBird open Imgur?
Your browser talks to TrickyBird instead of Imgur. TrickyBird fetches the page, rewrites its HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so every link and image points back through the proxy, and streams it into your tab. A small script stays in the page and catches whatever loads next, so scrolling on or opening a post keeps running through the same address.
The detail that trips up simpler tools is Imgur’s split across 2 hosts: pages come from imgur.com while the images and clips come from i.imgur.com. TrickyBird treats i.imgur.com as its own origin and routes each image and each gifv back through the proxy, so pictures actually render instead of turning into broken thumbnails. It took 0 gateway changes to get there.
Through all of it, Imgur’s address never shows up in the URL, on the page, or in the requests your browser sends. That holds from the first load to the last click.
What works on Imgur right now?
Browsing is the verified core: the front page and tag pages load, static images from i.imgur.com render, and gifv clips play in place. Our live tests confirm this on desktop, with no setup on your end, and a site is only listed as working after those tests pass. Imgur links often arrive from a thread on Reddit, which opens through TrickyBird too, and Pinterest has its own page for boards and pins.
No sign-in is needed to look around. Public pages open without an Imgur account, and TrickyBird itself has no sign-up. Uploading or commenting would mean logging in to Imgur the usual way, as on a direct visit.
The scope is worth stating plainly: your IP is hidden from Imgur, and the tool is for reaching a public site your network blocks, not for getting past logins or paywalls.
Does it hide my IP from Imgur?
Yes. Imgur sees TrickyBird’s server connecting rather than your IP, and your network sees TrickyBird rather than Imgur. Both directions are covered: your address stays hidden from the site, and the site’s name stays hidden from the network you are on.
To run the service and stop abuse, the edge keeps a shortened form of your IP address, the hostname of the site you connected to, and basic response details, kept for at most 48 hours. There is no account for any of it to attach to, and our logging page spells out exactly what is kept and for how long.
