Audio site
Unblock Bandcamp, from Discover to a full track
If Bandcamp will not load, the block is on the network in front of you, not on Bandcamp’s side. TrickyBird opens it from a browser tab: paste the address, press Launch, and the site comes up in the same tab through TrickyBird’s own address, with nothing to install and no account to create.
A filter rarely has anything against Bandcamp itself. It sits in the music and audio-streaming category, so when a network switches that category off, Bandcamp goes with it. The advice that follows is always to download an app, which is the one step a managed laptop or a locked-down phone will not allow, and TrickyBird needs no install at all. China is a national block rather than a category filter. GreatFire has recorded interference with bandcamp.com from mainland China since 7 May 2012, and its most recent test, on 7 February 2026, found it blocked.
The claims on this page come from our own tests. 5 live checks cover the home page, the Discover browse page, an album page, an artist discography, and the sign-in form, and all 5 pass. Images and links come back at the same counts as a direct visit, the text lands within 11 characters of it at the widest gap, and a full-length track, not a preview clip, plays rather than the page merely drawing. It took 0 gateway changes to get there.
Bandcamp in our own tests
All 5 live checks pass: the home page, Discover browse, an album page, an artist discography and the sign-in form all render, with the same number of images and links as a direct visit on every one of them, and the home page’s widest cover arriving at the same 1600px. Text matched a direct visit exactly on 4 of the 5, with the home page 11 characters apart out of 10,480. A full-length track, not a preview clip, played signed out. 0 requests left the browser for a bandcamp.com or bcbits.com host, including on a run with those hosts blocked outright.

How does TrickyBird open Bandcamp?
Your browser talks to TrickyBird, and TrickyBird fetches Bandcamp for you. It rewrites the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so every link, cover image, and request points back through its own address, and a small script stays in the tab to catch whatever loads as you browse Discover or open an album. On every surface we measured, 0 requests from the browser reached a bandcamp.com or bcbits.com host, which leaves a filter watching for those names nothing to match.
The audio is the part that usually breaks. Bandcamp serves a track as a plain MP3, but the address it comes from carries an expiry and a signature, and a proxy that rewrites the link around that signature invalidates it, so the player sits there and nothing starts. Those signatures survive here, which is why a track plays instead of stalling on the first request.
We ran the same pages again with every direct request to Bandcamp’s own hosts and its bcbits.com media hosts aborted outright, the way a network that really filters Bandcamp behaves. All 5 rendered at the same counts and still made 0 direct requests. We do that second run because a page can look finished on an open network while still leaning on a request a filtered network would never let through.
What works on Bandcamp through TrickyBird?
Without an account you get the site as most people use it: the home page, the Discover browse page, album and track pages, artist pages and their full discographies, Bandcamp Daily, and free full-length streaming of whatever an artist has made free to play. Every artist on Bandcamp lives on their own subdomain, and stepping from the main site across to one of those artist pages works the same way.
Nothing installs on your side and TrickyBird has no sign-up, so a managed work laptop that refuses new software can still open the site. Opening it is the same action as opening any other page. If your listening is spread around, Audiomack, SoundCloud, and Spotify have pages of their own.
Some releases play in full a few times before Bandcamp asks you to buy them. That is Bandcamp’s own control, and it passes through untouched, exactly as it would in any browser. TrickyBird is for reaching a public site your network blocks, and for keeping your IP address away from that site. It is not a way to get a record without buying it, and not a way past a paywall or copyright.
Is your Bandcamp listening private through TrickyBird?
Bandcamp sees the connection coming from TrickyBird rather than from your IP address, and the network you are on sees a connection to TrickyBird rather than to Bandcamp. The Bandcamp name stays out of the URL, off the page, and out of the requests your browser sends, which is the part a filter would otherwise match on.
On our side, the edge keeps a short access log to run the service and stop abuse: a shortened form of your IP address, the hostname of the site you connected to, and basic response details, kept for at most 48 hours. It does not record which albums you played, and there is no TrickyBird account for any of it to attach to. Our privacy page has the full picture.
