Get SoundCloud unblocked without a VPN or a download
To unblock SoundCloud, paste a track link into TrickyBird and press Launch: it opens in the same browser tab and free public tracks stream and play right there, with nothing to install and no account to create. Music is what SoundCloud is for, so a proxy that only rendered its pages would miss it; this one carries the audio too.
Audio streaming is a favorite target for network filters: offices and ISPs alike file it under distraction and block the category wholesale. The standard workaround, a VPN app, needs the one permission a managed device withholds, the right to install something. A web proxy needs none of that: if the machine can open a web page, it can open TrickyBird.
SoundCloud needed no special handling on our side; audio played through TrickyBird out of the box. The track’s audio stream is pulled through the proxy and played from a detached audio element in the tab, so a real song plays rather than a page that only half loads. Home and search open the same way, the SoundCloud name stays out of your address bar, and the scope is free, ad-supported listening.
SoundCloud in our own tests
Free public tracks stream and play through TrickyBird, and the home page and search open with SoundCloud’s name kept out of your URL. Checked on desktop.

How does TrickyBird open SoundCloud?
When you launch SoundCloud, your browser talks to TrickyBird, not to SoundCloud. TrickyBird fetches the page for you, rewrites its HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so every link and request points back through TrickyBird instead of SoundCloud’s own address, and streams the rewritten page into your tab. From then on, a small script in the tab catches whatever the page loads next, the clicks, the search, the audio itself, and keeps all of it on TrickyBird’s address.
The audio is the interesting part. SoundCloud serves each track as a segmented stream, and its player hands that stream to a detached audio element wired straight into the media buffer rather than an ordinary tag on the page. TrickyBird carries the segments through its own address as they play, which is why a track actually plays through the proxy instead of stalling after the page loads.
What works and what to expect on SoundCloud?
Using SoundCloud through TrickyBird is ordinary listening in a browser tab. Keep it to public tracks. Reaching a site your network blocks is usually about that network’s rules rather than the law, but check your local rules and your network’s policy before you rely on it, and use your own SoundCloud account the normal way if you want one.
Not every track is on SoundCloud. If your music is on Spotify instead, there is a separate page for that.
